The Oakdale is our first-ever chore jacket made from corduroy. A fresh design that honours a century of heritage while stepping into something softer, more lived-in, and undeniably &SONS.
Built in Portugal from an 100% cotton—20% of which is recycled—this jacket wears like a vintage find from the first try-on. Washed down to a perfectly faded blue, it captures the character of an old favourite, with details rooted in function and tradition.

Born in the 19th century and adopted by makers across the world, the chore jacket was never about fashion. It was about utility—four pockets, hardwearing fabric, and a fit that let you move. Farmers, mechanics, carpenters... men who shaped the world around them.

The chore jacket was born in 19th-century France and adopted across the Atlantic by American workers. It became a symbol of honest graft—evolving from blue denim in the States to moleskin in Europe, and eventually corduroy as the jacket left the field and entered the workshop.
The Oakdale is our homage to that lineage. Reimagined through the &SONS lens with careful craftsmanship, recycled materials, and a fit that makes it as comfortable in the city as it is in the shed.
